Frequently Asked Questions

Below are some frequently asked questions about registration and the Donate Life Family Fun Run. If your questions are not answered below, please e-mail familyfunrun@thellf.org or call 443-833-1076.

 


How do I start my own team?

To start a new team, simply click on “Register to Run|Walk” and follow the prompts to complete your individual registration.  During this process, the system will prompt you to either join an existing team or to create your own team.  You can create a new team at this time.

I registered as an individual. Can I still join or create a team? 

Yes! If you registered as an individual, you can still join or create a team later by logging in to your personal account through the link at the top right corner of the homepage. Click on the purple fundraising button on the left side navigation pane, then "My Fundraising Campaigns."  You will find options for joining or creating a team at the bottom of the page.

Can I register the day of the event?

Yes, registration will be available the day of the race starting at 7am. Cash, check and major credit cards will be accepted. We suggest you arrive early as lines can be long.

Can I mail in a paper registration form rather than registering online?

No, registration must be completed online. However, if you have a problem registering online, please call Erin Bauer at 443-833-1076 and she can register for you while you are on the phone. Have your payment ready.

Do I need to register my child?

All participants need to register, however children 5 and under may register for free. Children registering for free will not receive a t-shirt although you can purchase one if you’d like. Even though children 5 and under are free, they must register to get a bib as required by law.

Can I register on someone’s behalf?

Yes, but it would be best to have their email address as that will be how they login to the system going forward.

How do I donate to a team or individual?

Click on the green link "Make a Donation" from our homepage. From the left hand navigation pane, you can chose to "Find a Fundraiser" or "Find a Team." Participants are listed in alphabetical order by last name or team name. After making your selection, you can donate using a credit or debit card.

If you prefer to pay offline with check or credit card, payments can be mailed to The Living Legacy Foundation using our "Printable Donation Form" found on the homepage under "Resources."

What do I do with fundraising money I have collected offline?

To whom do I have my sponsors make checks payable?

Can I make my own team banner and/or sign and bring them to the event?

Absolutely! This is encouraged as a great way to have a meet-up point for teams!

Can I make my own team t-shirts?

Yes. Each registered participant will receive a Donate Life Family Fun Run t-shirt which may be customized, but you are more than welcome to make your own as well.

Will there be food?

This year we will be hosting food trucks with food and beverages for purchase in our picnic area, so you may want to bring some money. We will still provide light refreshments free of charge.

If I am walking, do I have to do the 1K?

No, you are more than welcome to walk the 5K. We will break down into groups between the runners and walkers.

Are strollers, wheelchairs, bikes and rollerblades allowed?

Strollers, wagons and wheelchairs are permitted on the race courses, however for the safety of other participants, bikes, scooters, and roller blades/roller skates are not permitted.

Can I run with a running stroller?

Yes, strollers are permitted on the race course.

I want to be timed for my race, is this possible?

Yes, we will be providing disposable timing chips for all participants.

I would love to participate, but I'm not available on race day.

That's okay! Please take part in our walk/run from home category of registration. This way, you can still create a team, join a team or join as individual and can participate in fundraising. Anyone who raises $100 or more will receive a Donate Life gift.


Can we bring our dog?

Unfortunately, dogs are not permitted at this event. However, we are huge dog fans at LLF and would love for you take a photo of your pup in Donate Life gear and post it to the Dogs for Donation Facebook page found here. Amazing, right?

Will there be a bag drop?

Although this year we will be providing bags at the end of the race, there will not be a bag drop location.

Will I need money?

As we mentioned, we are having food trucks in our picnic area this year which will be selling their products so you may want to bring money. We will also have some Donate Life merchandise available for purchase as well.
